Task Properties
Standarized task properties dictate what information every task in a workspace must have.
Todo2d’s workspace configuration allows you to enforce consistency and standardization across all tasks within a specific project or area of work. This is achieved through Task Properties.
What are Task Properties?
Task Properties are settings you define for a workspace. They dictate what information every task within that workspace must have. Think of them as mandatory fields for all tasks.
Key Benefits:
- Standardization: Ensures consistent data across all tasks, making reporting and analysis much easier.
- Required Information: Guarantees that critical information like estimation, priority, and assigned status is always captured.
- Improved Collaboration: Creates a shared understanding of task requirements.
Configuration Options:
- Required Property: You select a specific property type (e.g., Estimation, Priority, Status) that must be filled in for every task.
- Fallback Value: You can optionally provide a default value for the property. This is useful if you have a standard setting you want to apply to all tasks (e.g., a default priority level).
Example:
If you set “Estimation” as a required task property, every task within that workspace must have an estimated duration. You can also set a default value, such as “1h” (1 hour) for all tasks.
